What Is Your CPM?

Postby Chain Dragger on Tue Apr 08, 2008 8:36 pm

What is your cost per mile? How do you figure it out? Do you use any special software? Do you use a specific website? Do you do it in your head and lay it out with pencil to paper? I have talked to many contractors/lease operators, and it seems that they all have a varied opinion of how they come to their CPM. What do YOU have to make per mile to break even?

I always thought your cpm was a total of you miles divided by your pay and then you subtract your overhead including your pay check. Atleast thats the way I have always seen it done.
