Using your personal info online..

Postby Ole Wise Kidd on Sun Jan 03, 2010 2:25 pm

OK I thought I needed to pass this along to everyone... be very careful when putting personal info on an online application... There are scammers out there that will use it against you... First off MAKE sure the site is what they say they are... you can go to WHOIS.COM and see anyone registration info.... people that make it private, or if it doesn't exist... chances are its a scammer.... ALSO Big CDL job sites like Class a drivers.com, CDLjobs.com ect, will MASS MAIL your application to EVERYONE !... even though you thought you were applying to one company, they send it to EVERY COMPANY ON THE SITE, and your phone will ring for 2 years... so beware of them.... Its a dumb business decision to talk good about my competition, but I made this board to HELP drivers, so here are a few job sites that actually do only send your app to where you applied... and there isn't many of them.... Us of course, bubbajunk.com, findatruckingjob.com,cdltruckstop.com,onlinetruckdrivingjobs.com,and usatruckingjobs.com are a few that when you submit an app... it only goes to that company... so beware folks... and just use common sense when putting your personal info on an online application... IF your first feeling you get is not to do it, that's usually the right feeling and DONT put your personal info on an online app if you feel weird about it... I mean if they cant call you to get your info or if you can verify they are legit, you don't have to use them , there are plenty legit sites to get a job... :!:
