Looking for work

Postby Poorboy1955 on Mon Jan 04, 2010 11:12 am

I need help returning to driving. Last person I drove for closed down and I've been unemployed since March 2009. Have 1 1/2 yrs experience over the road. Have left a couple of jobs because of family problems and one because of starving. Went through school in 2001 and then drove for awhile and then left because of starvation. The most recent driving job only lasted for 2 months before they closed down. I would like to find something in the southeast region. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me. Poorboy1955

Yes I filled it out but I was wondering how the application process works. How will I be contacted and by whom for possible job positions?

After a company or recruiter receives it, they will review it and pre qualify you... If you qualify they will call and go over your options, but everone is a little behind right now as applications are FLOODING IN... so give it a little time, then let me know if you dont hear anything..

I've talked to several companies about getting hired and most of them are telling me because of my being unemployed for almost a yaer hurts me. That's like I would rather be unemployed rather than working. I need some help.. I wanna work and driving is what I enjoy..Sounds like a catch 22 to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

try posting under the topic "truckers wanting" a small company might pick you up and that will get you back on the road, also go to the employment office and check for smaller company ads or O/O..
