Got to get back on the road.(Goin Crazy)

Postby seaytrucking on Mon Sep 07, 2009 2:05 pm

Ive been driving on and off for about 13 years. I failed a UA almost 5 years ago. Since then i have worked for a few good OTR companies. But family issues and other things have kept me going back and forth from driving to construction. I know this looks bad on the ol resume but im a great driver and a hard worker that never refuses any load assignment. I guess my question is could you guys help me get back on the road. I have 1 ticket in the past 5 years and stay out of trouble. I will fill out the application on your site and lets see what happens. I hope you can help.

P.S. I love the fact that the owner gets on here to answer questions. I think that is a wonderful thing and wish more company's would do that instead of leaving the drivers in the dark.. Thanks again

The first thing you need to do is forget you ever failed a UA, act as if it never happened, dont admit to it anymore, its in the distant past and that is where it needs to stay. Companies have tightned down hard on hiring restrictions and when you bring that up they will not hire you. Companies cant disclose that info anymore so leave it in the past. Im not sure we can help you right now, i am just being honest, why not try a rehire on with a company that you worked for?
