Failed Preemployment non DOT after a medical leave

I was on a non work related medical from 2/08 thru 07/08,in 06/08 I attended my cousins wedding/ bachelor party in spain,drank some amethyst while in spain,not knowing that the beverage is prohibited for sale in the US,upon return was given a non dot preemployment screening to return to work after being off for 6 months and failed it from drinking the amethyst while in Europe.Lost my job for 0 tolerance policy.Am I untouchable by all trucking co's now?I live in Michigan and there are no jobs here,I have 8 years of local tractor trailer experience with 10 years of random dot screenings without a problem also have a spotless driving record for the past 15 years,is there anything out there for me?
