USA CDL JOBS TRUCK DRIVER FORUM

I have a New York State Class A license with Tank, Metal Coil, Doubles / Triples and Passenger endorsements. I took and passed the HazMat endorsement test and my background check should be done in about three weeks.

I have two years of local experience with over 600 loads. I'm looking for a job that will have me home most nights since I am a single parent. I am not stuck on driving a tractor-trailer - I'm willing to drive a straight-job and just about anything that will pay!

I have a resume and references available.

I wasn't aware a background check required 3 weeks. Seems a wee bit peculiar.
Have you acquired a copy of your DAC/USIS/HireRight file/record?
Every driver is allowed 1 free copy in a 12 month period and every driver should utilize said option just to see what if anything negative may have been placed on it which CAN and HAS HARMED many drivers in their employment quests.
Have you acquired a copy of your State MVR?
Not all States allow this ability online.

I'm getting my MVR - I went to DMV yesterday. Caught a brain fart and forgot they would be closed for the holiday.

Thanks for the info on the DAC/USIS/HireRight file/record... I filled out the request at hireright.com. Weird - at the end it seemed to be some sort of dispute system. "Please allow 5 business days for your request to be initiated." Gotta love technology...
